WHO IS THIS PROJECT FOR AND HOW DO YOU SELECT PARTICIPANTS?
Our goal is to establish as many sustainable and innovative business relationships between the US and Berlin as possible. While we are mainly looking for fashion brands (clothing, shoes, accessories) from Berlin, we also call on fashion tech companies and sustainable innovation start – and scale-ups in this field. From our network in the US we call on all agents, retailers, multiplicator organisations & institutions and tech companies in the fashion business.
Once we review all the registrations, we’ll find and match the most suitable ones with each other. So, it’s less about the readiness level of your company, it’s more about finding the perfect partners for you on the other side of the Atlantic. We keep our fingers crossed for you.
DO I HAVE TO PAY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKSHOPS, WEBINARS AND NETWORKING EVENTS?
No, be our guest to represent* your company in these events without additional cost (*one representative per company). The webinars are available to the public and can be attended by everyone.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AS A PARTICIPANT?
First and foremost, enjoy the project and get the most out of what we have to offer. By signing up you confirm to attend our delegation trip to New York City in October, a minimum of 7 out of 10 webinars across the next 16 months, 2 travel preparation workshops (appr. 1–2 hours each), and 4 surveys regarding the project.
I’M A BRAND. WILL YOU PUT ME IN CONTACT WITH SHOWROOMS AND AGENTS AND TAKE MY COLLECTION ACROSS THE ATLANTIC?
We’ll personally introduce you to a selected network of agents, retailers, and others. We also make sure you have all the resources available to establish your own sustainable business partnership with them. Furthermore, we as the project’s hosts won’t participate in any sales activities, though.
WILL FFN ACT AS CONSULTANTS AND ADVISE HOW TO ESTABLISH MY BUSINESS ABROAD?
Depending on your needs, resources, and existing skill sets, we’ll bring you together with matching experts, innovators, industry-shaping institutions, and others to support you on your journey onto the new market. We as the project’s host won’t offer any consultancy services.
HOW ARE THE DELEGATION TRIPS MANAGED?
We’ll work out an outstanding 5-day program and open the doors to the US market for you. Workshops, networking events, company visits, and more are awaiting you.
We will prepare you in the “Go To US” workshops prior to the trips. Each participant will be able to join one delegation trip (for companies from Berlin, either this October or fall 2024). We are happy to support you with recommendations for flight and accommodation booking both in Berlin and New York. The final booking of flights and hotels is up to your company.
